Frazier broke the old records
for a season set by teammate
Frank Meade and for
a career set by his older
brother, Jeff.
Frank Meade hit 14 homers
last year. Jeff Frazier, who
was a third-round draft
choice of the Detroit Tigers in
2004 and is currently with the
Seattle Mariners' West Ten
nessee Diamond Jaxx Class
AA team, hit 34 homers from
2002-2004.
Todd Frazier, who is expected to be a high pick in June's Major League Baseball's First-year Player Draft, has had a remarkable career dating back
to his days in Little League,
when he led Toms River East
American Little League to the
Little League World Champi
onship in 1998.
In high school, he led Toms
River South to consecutive
NJSIAA Group III champion
ships in 2002 and 2003. He
finished his scholastic career
with 26 homers, second on
the all-time Shore Conference
list behind 1994 Jackson
graduate Marc Fink.
