Very, very informal reader survey

I am just curious. Thus the following poll: I have also placed it on the Monmouth U/Local Colleges blog as well..

A look at the Offense lineman and Defense lineman of the Group 4 Top Ten Teams. A look at the guys who don't normally get the press that the one or two (QB/RB/ WR) who get the TD's or yardage.
Once in a while you see a story about the guys in the trenches. (one sentence)
But without the solid play of these guys-there would be no BIG Plays.. That should be the story next time.
Scoop the other guys and get the rest of the team involved in the ink.. Thank you for listening!

A good idea..but, in strict game coverage, difficult to accomplish.

More likely feature type story prior to a playoff game.

Any '0' or 'D' line you have in mind??

You can start with the O and D line of the Shore's top team...TR North. D-Line is dominant, and O-Line is stout. They keeps pressure off Penna so he can work on offense and the D-Line creates havoc to opposing teams offense.

Well if your going to talk about TR North-you should be ready to talk about Southern!
Both the "O" and "D" at Southern also are very good-best "O" Coach Donahoue has had in years.. , w/ the "D" sporting at least 4 Div 1 (jr's) that are playing both ways. Both teams have quality wins to prove that this is the case!
What I (we the readers) would like to see would be a detailed story of a VERY PLAY_OFF Game like situation, say ..like the TR NORTH vs SOUTHERN GAME NOV 2, 2007?????
How's that for a Play off type story and may be a American Div Championship up for grabs???
Think about it Tony???

Re: Southern vs. TR N.

Most likely there will be as detailed preview in next Friday's paper, similar to the previews we run every Friday (today on Wall vs. RBC, Holmdel vs. P. Boro, etc.)

The game will have high priority on Round Table, and tentative plans are for Southern to make its RallyCast debut next Frdiay night...

Please look at the Freehold Boro Offensive line. Number 58 and 75 have been starters for three years. They have run on everyone for three years. But this year they are champs. The game ending 8 1/2 minute drive is a classic for any football purist. But largely went unnoticed an channel 12 had to show another Dom Bosco blowout and an RBC practive session.
