what a dominating performance by the blue bishops..now we know group I schools can beat and compete with bigger schools..asbury park dominated neptune...michael peavey had a hundred yds or more in every game this season..he was held to under 50 yds going against that mitey blue bishops defense..that defense is playing very good at the right time..let's bring that blue stone home now ASBURY PARK..BLEED BLUE!!!

Congrats to Holmdel for finihing off such a great and successful season! 10-1! a division title and school record for wins. A great year for a program with only a handful of winning seasons and chaos a few years ago.

Man Asbury Park defense was impressive yester day. I think they did the best job defensively against Neptune then anybody this season and they had a shorter period of time to prepare. They shut down 2 quality RB'S in back to back weeks. Let's see if they can make it 3 in a row. What you think tony?

Re: AP vs. KB. I think the teams are evenly matched and the first score (42-26) may not have been indicative of the closeness of their respective abilities.

Remember - K Burg led 20-19 going into the fourth quarter of that game...

If I was AP I would be worried about KBurg's passing game and AP's suspect kicking game. Rumson's passing was very effective vs. AP back in Week One.

AP punter is very good but place kicking is an issue...

I don't know if K Burg can stop AP on the ground, however.

Through 8 regular season games AP offense No. 1 in the Shore and KB No. 3.

KB defense number 7 and AP no. 14...That also a possible concern for AP ..

It's an old cliche but this game should come down to who makes the fewest mistakes...

My inclination is to lean towards AP..of course I am dead last among the Pick Six crew (uh, oh!)...

asbury kicking game has always been suspect..they do need to improve their pass defense though..i think they can get it together for one last time..the coach need to challenge them..thats when they seem to respond

TONY WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE DIFFERENCE IF ANY BETWEEN KBURG AND AP TEAMS FROM THEIR LAST MEETING?

Re: Difference. One possible difference is KBurg may have learned it need not rely on Justin Laguna as much as before. And it may have made for a broader all-around attack using other players more than before he was injured.

Asbury Park just seems to have gotten stronger and more confident as the year has rolled on...

Re: Southern. Yes, nice year ..new record for wins and first playoff win. Heck, it only took 50 years!! (just kidding).

Key now is can Chuck and the Rams maintain and or build on this with Carson returning. Who else is back?
