First Round
(11) SJ Vianney 9, Manasquan 0 - Nick Scarillo two, two-run homers and Chris Lewnes also had a two-run homer (more below).

Regular Season
St. Rose 10, Monsignor Donovan 4 - John McGrath went 2-for-3 with an RBI; Anthony Ranaudo drove in three runs with two hits including a two-run triple in a six-run fourth inning ,and junior Casey Cannon struck out seven over five innings for the Purple Roses (19-1). Connor Smith had an RBI double in the big inning.



TR South 8, Clearview 4 - Joe Talerico goes 3-for-3 with a three-run home run and four RBI and becomes the 10th player in Toms River South history to record 100 hits (more below).

GAME REPORTS
IN A SHORE CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT GAME
ST. JOHN VIANNEY 9, MANASQUAN 0: Nick Scarillo hit two, two-run homers and Chris Lewnes added a two-run homer as the 11th-seeded Lancers (16-6) defeated the 22nd-seeded Warriors (11-13) in a Shore Conference Tournament first-round game.
Lewnes hit his homer and Scarillo socked his first in the first inning as St. John Vianney took a 4-0 lead. Scarillo's second homer came in the fifth. Scarillo has five homers on the season and Lewnes four.
Paul Bacigalupi had a no-hitter through four innings and pitched a three-hitter with four strikeouts through five innings.
St. John Vianney will play at No. 6 seed Toms River East (20-5) in the Round of 16 sometime this week.

IN REGULAR SEASON GAMES
TR SOUTH 8, CLEARVIEW 4: Seton Hall University-bound Joe Talerico became the 10th player in Toms River South's history to record 100 hits for a career and went 3-for-3 with four RBI as the Indians (18-6) defeated the Pioneers (7-12) in a nonconference game.
His 100th career hit came on a three-run homer in the third. He also had an RBI single in the first and singled and scored in the fifth.
Chase Gray was 2-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored.


TR NORTH 6, CENTRAL 2: Billy Hoermann hit a two-run double and Scott Shan a two-run homer in the first inning and five pitchers combined on a seven-hitter as the Mariners (21-4), ranked No. 6 in the Asbury Park Press Top 10, defeated the Golden Eagles (4-14-1)… Saturday night at Al Leiter Field, Berkeley.
