What I'm sure will not be brought up by anyone in Holmdel is that their Coach of the Year (It has to be a no-brainer) was hired by the women they ran out of town after the previous coach quit midseason. I wonder if anyone in Holmdel will remember that? I also wonder if a certain assistant coach with a perennial power woulod have done the same with this talented group of kids.

Chip LaBarca JR took a team that was 4-6 and a program that was a mess and has gone 15-4 over the past two years. I don't want to hear that north was loaded because they were not. Last year west was the only returning starter and the jr. and sr. classes were 5-4 as frosh. Last year they had 4 starters that never played football and this year one starter only played as a frosh and two others were frosh b team players. The jv team was undefeated this year and the frosh just tied an undefeated east team 21-21. I think north is going to be real good as long as chip is the coach.
