TRN & Southern are well coached, solid football teams. TRN's size and speed make them a flat out dominant team. Taking nothing away from TRN (especially since they beat Middletown South), not having to play the 2nd toughest team on their schedule (TRE) until Thanksgiving helped get TRN the #1 seed.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE SHORE TEAMS NEXT WEEK !

They played the second toughest team last night and beat them with a dominating performance.

The Raiders have absolutely no passing game, Southern controlled them a couple of weeks ago. Also you can throw on East too.TRN's defense is dominant, absolutely dominant!!

East better come up with a passing game or they will get spanked by North.

Oh and North is worthy of a top five state ranking.

On Turkey day it will be Mariners by at least 2 touchdowns!!

Good game!! North dominated the line of scrimmage and were able to keep the football. Both teams played very hard in probably one of the worst officiated games I have ever seen. I really think the Shore Conference needs to evaluate their officials. This season has gotten out of hand with below average officiating. Southern vs. Toms River North was proof of that.

To be honest I really didn't see any way the officials influenced the outcome of this game..do you?

There are always calls that can be questioned..barring a game changing call fans waste too much time bellowing over officiating - in my opinion.

It is what it is....

You're right, it is what it is...below average. Not saying anything about the officiating influencing the outcome of the game. Regardless of the officiating, North would have still won, but this season I have heard more complaints about the officials than ever. Officials are not off limits as far as commenting about them.

You may comment on them, as long as you keep it at the discussion level...

I personally think it's usually a waste of time to talk about it...

I have seen many games over the years...some well officiated ones and sometimes not so well officiated ones...

Nothing really has or probably will ever change..

Tony G,
please let us/me (the readers) know who and how the area's best position players get nominated or picked for their play during the season (does it include play-offs?)
And could you give your opinion on who may get certain Honors in Group 4 & 3.
I would think it would be based on your APP Top Ten poll of Teams and than go from that point.....
What's the scoop??? TG

T-you have been preety good at the upsets..
Sorry about them Eagles..
Who wins in both games?
the Giants vs Cowboy game??
It's like picking between the
#4 & #5 teams in Group 4 Southern vs Washington Twp.
I like Southern and Cowboys...both have to much to lose, right now!

I hate to pass the buck - but it's never stopped me before!!

Various Division coaches chairmen organize their All Divisions teams. The All-Shore team is selected from that.

Steve Falk will put it all together for the Press...
