Updated with Tuesday results (Will update this again Thursday after Wednesday action) ...Pick the SCT winner!...my pick below

Who do you think wins it???..

Here is the current field after Tuesday.

Upper bracket: 1. TRN vs. 16 Freehold Twp., 9. Rumson vs. No. 8 C Neck; . 4. Ocean vs. No.5 Wall. .

Lower bracket: 2. CBA vs. 18. Raritan; 10. Jackson vs. 7. TR South; 11. SJ Vianney vs. 6. TR East; 14.RBC vs. (11) SJ Vianney/(6) TR East winner.

Games this week:

Upper bracket first round match ups

Free Twp. at TR N Wed 3:45 p.m.
Rumson at Colts Neck Wed 3:45 p.m.

Lower bracket first round matchups

SJ Vianney at TR East Wed 7:30 p.m.
Jackson at TR South Wed 3:45 p.m.

My thoughts... - Lower bracket .

CBA , St. Rose, TR East, and TR South all in the same bracket. Ouch - a tough draw all-around. Considering some NJSIAA games (and perhaps MCT games) as well may be mixed in here, pitching staffs will be stretched. My dark horse in this bracket - SJ Vianney. We'll see abou that one Wednesday night.

From this group I think CBA has the superior mound strength anchored by Kyle Slate with Dave Laufer and Remy Cohen backing him up and also the most potent lineup.

No one can get the Laufers out these days.

From the upper bracket: The favorites would appear to be TR North and Ocean who would not meet until the semifinal. Colts Neck, playing very well at the moment, could square off with TR North in the quarters with Class B North champ Wall and Ocean in the other quarter.Dark horse - Colts Neck (no pun intended). This team didn't tie CBA for first place in North by accident.

Tough call here, but I have to go with Keith Weinkofsky and the Ocean bats as difference maker.

If my picks prevail (not likely!!) it's a CBA vs. Ocean final.

If both teams are still in the states...it remains to be seen what pitchers will be on the hill since coaches tend to use their No. 1's in the states. And the winner is.........CBA, Ocean, CBA, Ocean, flipping coin, CBA, Ocean,CBA Ocean..and finally, purely on a hunch .....

Ocean.

Nice job Tony, but I'll go with a TRN v TRE matchup with TRN on top.

The pitching of all three Toms River teams was down right outstanding in the OCT.

But, on the other hand, you could make the argument TRN and TREmay not have a bat (TR S has Talerico) with the sock of a Weinkofsky or the Laufers.

I know Lacava has a bunch of HR for TR North and is always a threat, and TRE is solid up and down the lineup.

Still, I rate individually, Talerico, KW, and the Laufers a cut above.

I give the pitching edge of the three TR teams to TRN and TRE (that's a coin flip there) slightly over TR South which is also very good.

Some of these SCT games have the potential to be barn burners.

Soooo..so far we have votes for TRN, CBA, and Ocean.
