Jackson rolls over Holmdel

JACKSON 12, HOLMDEL 0: Sean Stimpfel belted a three-run double and Corey Carr delivered the first of his two, two-run doubles in the first inning as the Jaguars (2-1) scored eight runs in the opening inning and rolled to a nondivisional victory over the Hornets (0-1).
Ivan Cartegna added a two-run double in the third when Jackson scored its other four runs. The Jaguars slammed six doubles in the game.
Freshman right-hander Brian Solomon hurled two-hit ball with two strikeouts over the first 41/3 innings to pick up his first varsity win in his first varsity start.
