Just goes to show people how tough the A South is. The bottom half of that division in the pre season polls may be better then the top half this year. Dont be suprised if Southern, TR North or Jackson comes away with the A South title. North and Jackson have the best young talent and will be battle for the next two years.
Well, I will be surprised if Southern, TR North, or Jackson wins A South. Not saying it can't happen..but I will be surprised. I still expect TR S to win it. I have heard good things about Jackson in preseason.
I've always thought that A-South from top to bottom was the toughest division in the Shore Conference... and probably one of the toughest in the State of New Jersey
Thats whats great about highschool baseball, one bad bounce, one bad pitch, one good swing of the bat could make a difference.
As you pointed out, this isnt the first time Southern as beaten Toms River South. I maybe mistaken, but I believe Southern actually beat TRS twice in 2003 when TRS when on to win the Group III State Championship
I wouldn't worry about TRS though, they always seem to play much better late april thru june when the games really matter.
