CBA 8, Midd North 0 - Laufers go back-to-back as Colts win s venth in a row. Clinch tie for top of Class A North.


Matawan 9, Freehold 8 - Julian Sonnenfeld's three-run triple in the sixth was the big blow.



St. Rose 6, Keansburg 2 - Chris Bresnahan's run-scoring double capped the three-run fifth inning that put St. Rose ahead to stay



Manchester 13, Lacey 10 - Allen Robinson 3-for-3 with two RBI and scored twice for Manchester.



Ocean 6, Monmouth 3 - Two more home runs for Weinkofsky , that's 25 for his career. Two off the record.


SJ Vianney 10, Raritan 1 - Gary Fare, Chris Ruffler go 3-for-4.

Shore 11, Asbury Park 0 - Shore clinches B Central public title.


Wall 12, Long Branch 2 - Drew Pinero went 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBI

Monsignor Donovan 5, Barnegat 3


Rumson-FH 10, RB Catholic 2. Bulldogs have locked up their first Public Division A Central title.



CBA 8, MIDDLETOWN NORTH 0: Dave Laufer blasted a two-run home run and brother Jim followed with a solo shot in a four-run first inning to lead No. 6 CBA (12-3, 11-3) past the Lions (8-9, 8-6) in a Class A North game.
The seventh win in a row for CBA, the Non-Public A champions of the division, enabled it to clinch at least a share of the top spot in the division for the eighth year in a row.
Seniorave Kyle Slate struck out eight and walked two over six innings to improve to 6-0.
Dave Laufer went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI and Marc Sansevere 2-for-4 and scored twice.

SHORE 11, ASBURY PARK 0: Junior Shawn Metz hit a three-run home run and sophomore left-hander Rob Corsi fanned 10 for his first varsity win as the Blue Devils (13-2, 11-2) clinched the Shore Conference Class B Central public school title for a second year in a row with a win over the Blue Bishops (2-12, 0-12).

Shore Conference home run leader Todd Juliano walked in his only at bat. Shore plays St. Rose Monday at FirstEnergy Park.





ST. ROSE 6, KEANSBURG 2: Shawn McNally had a sacrifice fly in a three-run fifth and a two-run double in a three-run sixth as the No. 8 Purple Roses (12-1, 11-0) rallied to beat the Titans (6-7, 6-6) in a Class B Central game.
Chris Bresnahan's run-scoring double capped the three-run fifth and put St. Rose ahead to stay.
Junior right-hander Vin Vinci pitched one-hit ball with two strikeouts over the last five innings to pick up the win.
John McGrath was 2-for-3 and scored two runs and stole two bases for St. Rose. Jordan Edwards was 2-for-4 for Keansburg.
St. Rose ace Anthony Ranaudo will pitch Saturday against Clearview in a Shore Challenge game at FirstEnergy Park, Lakewood.

MATAWAN 9, FREEHOLD 8: Julian Sonnenfeld's bases-loaded triple capped a seven-run sixth inning when the Huskies (4-10, 4-6), taking advantage of five walks, wiped out a 7-2 deficit to jolt the Colonials (5-6, 5-5) in a Class B North game.
Jeff Frost hit a bases-loaded sacrfice fly in the seventh before Matt Buragina induced a foul out to end the game.
Frost had a two-run single in the fourth inning when Freehold scored four runs to take a 5-0 lead.
James Frost had an RBI double in the third inning and an RBI single in the sixth.
Dan Geran went 3-for-3 with two RBI for Matawan.

ST. JOHN VIANNEY 10, RARITAN 1: Chris Ruffler went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and Gary Fare also went 3-for-4 as the Lancdrs (10-5, 8-3) downed the Rockets (7-6, 4-6) in a Class A Central game.
Senior catcher Eddie Cetnar was 2-for-3 with an RBI single.
Andrew Holler allowed two hits over the first four innings for the victory.


MANCHESTER 13, LACEY 10: The Hawks (10-2) erupted for seven runs in the first inning keyed by an Allen Robinson RBI double and a two-run single by Trevor Nadolny and defeated the Lions (2-14) in a nondivision game.
Robinson went 3-for-3 with two runs scored, was hit by a pitch, and drove in two runs. Ryan Casey added two hits and scored two runs.
Mike Mitton went 2-for-5 with an RBI scored two runs, and stole two bases for Lacey.

MONSIGNOR DONOVAN 5, BARNEGAT 3: Senior Adam Murray belted a three-run home run in the sixth inning snapping a 2-2 tie to give the Griffins (9-5, 7-4) a Class B South win over the Bengals (9-5, 6-5) and a shot at the division's Non-Public division title.

Ken Ouimet had two doubles, an RBI, and scored run for Donovan.

Erik Smithman went 1-for-3 with two RBI for Barnegat.

WALL 12, LONG BRANCH 2: The Knights (12-2, 9-1) defeated the Green Wave (0-13, 0-11) to move closer to the Class B North crown with two league games remaining. One more win or an Ocean defeat will clinch at least a tie for the championship.
Three Wall pitchers allowed two hits over five innings and senior Drew Pinero went 3-for-3 with a two-run home run , the first long ball of his career, in a five-run first inning for Wall.
Matt Debonis (2-0, both wins vs. Long Branch)went the first three innings for the win and Pinero pitched the fourth and Anthony Cinelli the fifth.
Junior Ryan Kirsch had both long Branch hits including a solo home run and an RBI single.
Wall visits Freehold Friday.
