2007 Shore Conference Tournament
Will be seeded Monday night.....
Who do you think gets the No. 1 seed? Who deserves it?
Though Wall is No.1 in the Press Poll my guess is the SCT doles out the top seed to.......CBA. Any thoughts here??

It looks like Wall and CBA both have a tough trip today in the Shore Challenge..Unless Wall throws Hughes they could get spanked by St. Joes of Montville (A team that #3 Ocean beat in the Challenge a few weeks ago when SJM was like #7 in the Ledger State Rankings) so a loss could move them down a notch ..I could see with a win CBA getting the nod as a 1 followed by Ocean or Wall then All 3 TR teams filling in the 4,5,6 spots throw in Jackson, St Rose and Colts Neck and you'll have the 1st 10 spots..My suprise picks in 1st round upsets will be Neptune, Shore and RFH as all have a decent #1 pitcher unfortunately all 3 will be pursuiting states and will need that #2 or 3 to win a game in the next round vs. very high seed....too hard for the smaller schools to compete after that 1st round
You are correct!
Wall, CBA or Ocean will be seeded #1 followed by St. Rose. You have to put St. Rose ahead of TRN, and TRN has to be ahead of TR South and TR East. Also Colts Neck should be in the mix. They should be anywhere from 5-9 depending on what happens in the next few games with the OCT and the shore challenge. Jackson, Rumson, Manalapan, Manchester, RBC, SJV and Maybe Shore regional should be 9-15.
Top 16:
1. CBA
2. Wall
3. Ocean
4. St Rose
5. TRN
6. TRE
7. TRS
8. CN
9. Jackson
10. Rumson
11. Manalapan
12. Manchester
13. RBC
14. SJV
15. Shore
16. FT
OOcchhh no Hughes, No Wall today ST Joes Mont beats Wall by 10
That's a sweet sixteen...
St Joes beat Wall by 4, not 10. 14-10
I thought we had the score on the blog as 14-10...if it was wrong somewhere let me know and I'll change it
wall score right it was 14 but wall put put 6 late to make it interesting.
CBA,wall ocean strose trn trs tre
coltsneck after that it's a crap shoot. still a tough tournament to win even tougher with teams still alive in the states as the tounry progesses
Which is what makesthe Wall run to four championships (the QC) in 2004 so amazing.
I was just going over that the other day..they ended the season on a 14-game winning streak!
Your "NEW" 1 & 2 both lost on Saturday, one to a team that #3 beat, does it change anything????
Tough picks !!!
Re Poll - tough to say. We've got a whole week to go...
I won't penalize a team significantly for losing in the SC though it could factor in..
To me - games vs. Shore Conference teams are more important.....
Tony
who gets the top 5 seeds in the sct. Remember it is voted on by coaches. the top 5 seeds have to go to the following teams, Wall CBA Ocean St. Rose TRN.
Wall lost to St. Joes Montvale so I thought CBA would get the 1 seed but they lose to St. Peters. Wall has 4 loses this year all to state ranked teams, only 1 of them a sc team. CBA has 4 loses 2 to a bad howell team and 1 to manalapan.
Ocean has a good shot at the 1 seed. But the lose to Midd North could hurt. They split with Wall and beat St. Joes who wall lost to.
St. Rose 1 lose but a weak schedual. They beat St. Peters who CBA lost to and Beat TRN. However can they beat those teams with any other pitcher than Ranoudo, that could hurt their chance at the 1 seed.
TRN. 19 wins and 3 loses. Big lose to St. Rose who threw Ranoudo and TRN Threw nobody.
Interesting. How would you seed the top 5 and why?
My top 5....well...top 10
1. CBA...Yes, I know I had wall No. 1 this week in the Press Poll and they deserve it based on a weekly poll. But CBA may be the strongest team, overall at the Shore, and this ranking is a little different.
2. Wall - only Shore loss was to Ocean and they finished ahead of Ocean in the division (B North).
3. Ocean.
4. St. Rose - I don't see how they can be ranked behind TR N after last week.
5. TR North.
6. TR East
7. TR South.
8. Colts Neck
9. Manalapan - still has those two wins over CBA.
10. Rumson
and so forth...don't forget there are games Monday and they count towards the SCT seeding (Manchester vs. TR East in the OCT for instance) and qualification ...
Point Boro's stock may have risen a bit with its OCT win over Jackson..or diminished Jackson's stock a little.
shore has had a strong season very quietly and it seems like they arent getting any love..is it because of the competition it B central besides st rose?
Shore is having a nice season.. Is in the MCT semifinal now vs. winner of RBC/CBA.. after quality wins over Neptune and Raritan... tough to gain recognition in B Central though unless you defeat St. Rose..
They'll (Shore) be in the SCT of course and in a tough CJ 2 field with Raritan, Rumson, Squan with a chance to make some noise..
