I feel the under dogs the Barnegat Bengals will surprise everyone.
Br Mem -- Nothing to lose
I feel that Barnegat will win and shock everyone.
I like their team..I saw them vs. Manchester. They're just that one year away I think from perhaps winning B South and making significant post season noise.
If South's bats come alive, I have to agree with you, pitching has been great for the last five or six games. But might need alittle more run support. If not East.
Interesting pick Tony... Considering that you have both Toms River North and Toms River East both ranked ahead of Toms River South
My pick is a forecast..rankings are based on what has recently transpired...but were I a TR South fan - with my forecast record this spring - this would not be a good thing!
But I am harkening back to my pre-season thinking when I felt they were potentially the best team in A South.
We shall see....In another vein I like the format of the tournament.
I was going to mention that, you just jinxed TRS. Kiss of Death Tony, thanks alot lol
Well..they dodged the KOD today..Monday should be interesting...
South's bats came alive today, reallylike there chances know, plus Gebler and Bissey avaliable to pitch on Monday, Should be a good game Monday night at the Ravine. OCT should look into better facilities for first day, JV field at Brick was like a cow pasture. Crazy bounces in the outfield in all three games.
I suppose OCT got the best fields it could at this stage.
Brick JV field wasn't great by any means, but it was Ok and I thought Brick AD Bill Bruno and his crews did a solid job hosting it today.
Perhaps other fields were not available for any number of reasons
I think its going to be a game-time decision on who gets the nod for TRS. Everybody is assuming it will be Gebler, however he really hasnt pitched up to his expectations so far this year. Bissey hasnt lost since the beginning of April, and has been the most productive pitcher for Toms River South. By time this game starts, they should know the winner of the Manchester/East game across town...which could also weigh in on their decision.
Toms River North Should win this game.North is more of a rounded team.
Any other picks in this one..??? TR South vs. TR North...??
After looking at all their scores neither club has really consistently belted quality pitching (talking 8-9 runs type of attacks) ...and prior games this year between the two went 5-0 TR South and 4-3 TRN...so I look for a close game...
