Golden Falcons on NJSIAA flight??

The Monmouth Regional High School baseball team has been a steady participant in the NJSIAA Tournament.
With a game pending Thursday vs. dangerous Red Bank Catholic it gave itself a shot Wednesday with a 9-5 nondivisional win over Red Bank which enabled Monmouth to even its ecord at 8-8.
Team must have .500 or better records through Friday to qualify for the 2007 states.
Winning pitcher Cole DeAngelis went 2-for-4 with four RBI and was the winning pitcher Wednesday. Tommy Dayback singled, doubled, tripled and scored four runs, Pat Geran went 3-for-3 with two RBI, and Mike Sevilla hit a two-run home run in the third inning.
""Without winning Wednesday it would have made things more difficult to qualify,'' said Ted Jarmusz, Monmouth coach.
Ironically Jarmusz will face former Monmouth standout Tony Martinez in the opposing dugout Thursday.
""We've played them with things on the line before,'' Jarmusz said. ""And we've always approached it just another well-prepared team.''

Honestly... i think that Red Bank Catholic has risen out of their little "slump". If anything, their losses were a wake up call. How do you see Red Bank Catholic ending up this year?
