According to Asbury Park Prerss records it marked North's first two-game sweep of the Raiders since 2000. TR North defeated TR East Wednesday.

GAME DETAILS/REPORTS
MANALAPAN 5, CBA 4: Winning pitcher Mark Holmes induced a ground out to short with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh for the game's final out and Nick Turano had an RBI single in the fourth and a run-scoring double in the fifth as the Braves (5-2, 2-2) handed the Colts (3-2, 3-2), ranked No. 1 in the Asbury Park Press Top 10, their second loss in as many days.
According to Asbury Park Press records, it is the first time since 2003 CBA has lost consecutive Class A North games. It is also the Colts' first loss to Manalapan since 2003.
CBA had cut a 5-2 deficit to 5-4 in the seventh with the aid of two Manalapan errors and an RBI single by Steve McSherry before Holmes got the final out.
Manalapan wiped out a 2-0 deficit with three runs in the fourth. Shane McGrane delivered a run-scoring single and Ryan Harvey lofted a sacrifice fly in addition to Turano's single.
Dave Becker had an RBI single in the fifth and then scored on Turano's double. It was Turano's fourth two-bagger in the last two days.

HOW SWEEP IT IS FOR TR NORTH
""This is defintely a compliment to our ball players,'' said Toms River North coach Ted Schelmay Saturday after the Mariners, No. 2 in the Asbury Park Press Top 1O Poll, defeated No. 3 Toms River East for the second time in four days, 6-5, and took over first place in Shore Conference Class South.
According to Asbury Park Press records the outcome marked the first sweep of TR North (5-1, 4-1) of Toms River East (3-2, 3-2) since 2000.
"Our players kept their composure this week, worked hard, and took each game one game at a time,'' said Schelmay.
TR North took Saturday's contest with a four-run fifth inning that wiped out a 3-2 deficit.
A two-run double by sophomore Bill Hoermann gave North a 4-3 lead, and sophomore Steve Nyisztor and junior Scott Shan followed with doubles for a 6-3 advantage.
Shan, who singled home North's first run of the game in the fourth inning, relieved Anthony Scorsone in the seventh with two runs in and a runner on second.
The last of three TR North pitchers in the game, Shan earned his first varsity save.
Ryan Dolan hit a two-run single and Bryan Frank a sacrifice fly when TR East scored three runs in the first inning.
""We're happy to be where we are right now,'' said Schelmay. ""We have to remain consistant and play good consistent Mariner baseball.''

BARNEGAT 3, ATLANTIC CITY 1:Matt McNeal's sacrfice fly, and RBI singles by Brian Calabria and Sam Redmond keyed a three-run sixth inning that sent the Bengals (6-1) to their sixth victory in a row, a nonconference decision over the Vikings (1-4).
Eric Smithan launched the rally with the double ansd pitched the last two innings to gain the win in relief.
Catcher Sam Redmond threw out a would be base stealer bringing his season total to seven of nine.

MANASQUAN 5, RARITAN 4
Manasquan High School baseball coach Art Gordon says his team has no margin for error.
The Warriors seemed to validate that point again Saturday when they played errorless ball and rallied with three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to trip Raritan, 5-4, in a Shore Conference Class A Central game.
In Manasquan's only other error free performance it defeated Monmouth Regional.
""The main thing is we were in the game because we didn't make any errors,'' said Gordon. ""That's why we won against Monmouth Regional.''
Senior right-hander Steve Kircher pitched six innings for Manasquan (2-3, 1-3) and capped the winning rally with an infield ground ball after an RBI triple by Brad Newman and an RBI single by Chris Van Stolk tied the score.
Senior left-hander Pat Nolan won his first varsity game in relief.
A.J. Miller's solo home in the fifth inning pulled Manasquan even at 2.
Senior Kevin Yorks gave Raritan (2-3, 0-3) a 2-1 lead with a solo shot in the top half of the inning.

BRICK MEMORIAL 5, CENTRAL 3:Memorial rookie coach Rich Bishop got his first win at the expense of his alma mater as the Mustangs (1-6) topped the Golden Eagles (1-4) in a nondivision game.
Bishop graduated Central in 1973.
Kyle Heilbroun went 3-for-4 with double, two singles, and scored two runs and Brendan Melody had a two-run single in the sixth inning for Memorial.
Evan Mancini got the last three outs to save the game for Jason Gordon.
Steve Figueroa singled twice for Central.
COLTS NECK 16, HOWELL 5:A three-run home run by Ashton Jackson launched a seven-run third inning when the Cougars (4-2, 3-1) expanded a 6-5 lead en route to a Class A North win.
Jackson finished
with three hits (3-for-5: single, double, homer) and Frank Piazza added theree hits and two RBI for Colts Neck. Pete Salvati pitched the first three innings for his
first win of the season (1-0).
Brian Battaglia had two hits for Howell, including a
solo home run in the second inning.

St. JOHN VIANNEY 2, RED BANK 1:Gary Fare scored from third base on a passed ball in the bottom of the eighth inning enabling the Lancers (5-1, 3-1) to down the Bucs (1-4, 1-4) in a Class A Central game.
Senior right-hander Matt Wiley pitched four scoreless innings in relief of Andrew Holler allowing two hits and striking out four for his first varsity win.
Tim Johnson went the distance for Red Bank fanning six.
Nick Scarillo had two hits for St. John Vianney which got its first run on a Greg DeLuise RBI single in the third inning.
Zack Honecker (two hits) doubled home Johnson in the first inning for Red Bank.

OCEAN 1, SOUTHERN 0: Keith Weinkofsky's double off the left-center field fence with one out in the bottom of the eighth scored Kyle Norman with the only run as the No. 6 Spartans (3-3) edged the Rams (3-4) in a nondivisional game. Norman, who had singled, slid around the catcher's tag to score the run.
Norman also picked up the win in relief with a 1-2-3 eighth inning with two strikeouts.
Senior left-hander Eric Hinkle pitched superb ball over the first seven innings, striking out 10, walking none and allowing just an infield single off his glove in the first inning.
Weinkofsky had two doubles.

MONMOUTH 14, FREEHOLD 4: Cole DeAngelis had five RBI, including a three-run triple in the third and Pat Gaughran had a two-run single in the first, a solo homer in the third and a game-ending RBI single in the fifth as the No. 7 Golden Falcons (4-1, 3-0) moved into a tie for first place in Class B North with a victory over the Colonials (2-2, 2-1).
Monmouth wiped out a 2-0 deficit with seven runs in the first. Kyle Fagan, winning pitcher Joe Connors and Jeff Roche also had RBI singles in the inning addition to Gaughran's two-run single.

MARLBORO 6, MONSIGNOR DONOVAN 5: The Mustangs (2-3) turned a 6-4-3 double play to end the game with the tying and winning runs on base as Marlboro defeated the Griffins (3-3) in a nondivisional game.
Monsignor Donovan had closed to within a run earlier in the seventh. Ken Ouimet, who hit a two-run homer in the first, led off with a double and scored on Andy Gannon's single. Adam Murray then singled to make it first and second with nobody out.
Marlboro took the lead with a five-run fifth as D.J. Lalima led off with a homer and Adam Epstein capped the rally with a two-run double.

TOMS RIVER SOUTH 7, MOUNT CARMEL (Pa.) 1: Sophomore right-hander Tyler Gebler pitched 31/3 innings of one-hit relief with six strikeouts and senior Joe Talerico drove in three runs as the No. 4 Indians (5-2) handed Mount Carmel (Pa.)(3-1) its first loss of the season.
Toms River South wiped out a 1-0 deficit with four runs in the fifth. Chase Gray drew a bases-loaded walk. Jake Delvento had an RBI ground out. Talerico an RBI singl and Gray scored on a first and third double steal.
Talerico had a two-run double to conclude a three-run sixth.

RUMSON-FH 11, NORTH BRUNSWICK 3: Steve Giordano put the No. 10 Bulldogs (4-0) ahead for good with a two-run homer in the fourth and added an RBI double in a six-run fifth and Ben Miller picked up his third win of the season with 21/3 innings of three-hit relief as Rumson recorded the nonconference win over the Raiders (3-4).
Miller, who struck out four, has not allowed an earned run in 14 innings this season. He also went 2-for-3 with an RBI at the plate.
Matt Wassel slugged a two-run double in the fifth.
North Brunswick is coached by ex-CBA standout Ryan Lillis.

SPOTSWOOD 8, POINT BORO 6: Slugging center fielder Pat Biserta hit his first homer of the season, a solo shot leading off the bottom of the seventh, and Jim Simon belted a grand slam in the second, but it was not enough for the Panthers (1-4) to avoid a nonconference defeat against the Chargers (3-1).
Biserta was 2-for-2 with two walks, Simon had five RBI and Jim Squilante was 2-for-3 with a run scored.
Spotswood wiped out a 5-2 deficit with a four-run fifth as John Berner cracked a two-run homer and C.J. Mooney and Nick Curci had RBI singles. Curci also had a two-run homer in the fourth.
